The past couple of days have been quite gloomy. Montreal's weather is inconsistent in the summer time. One day can be beautifully warm and the next rainy and chilly. It actually hailed yesterday! Luckily I packed a few jackets and a cardigan for this trip.
If you find yourself in a similar situation while visiting Montreal don't think that your vacation is ruined. Au contraire, Montreal has plenty of indoor entertainment for you to choose from starting with its underground city located downtown. Shopping, restaurants, cinemas, manicurists, banks, ... you name it they have it and it's all underground. The underground city connects 5 major shopping centers: Place des Cathedrales, Complexe Les Ailes, Eaton Center, Place Montreal Trust and Les Cours Mont-Royal. It also joins 4 downtown subway stations: McGill, Peel, Bonaventure, Place Ville-Marie and major office buildings.
Montreal also offers a plethora of museums and galleries where you can find shelter and stimulate your mind. Currently the Museum of Fine Arts of Montreal is hosting a Jean-Paul Gaultier exhibit which we cannot wait to see.

P.S.: French expression of the day: Au contraire = On the contrary.
