The holidays are long gone. And now that all the gifts have been opened, it is time to get what you really want. P.S.: Before I go, here's an idea: in the weeks leading up to the holidays try talking about the things you need and want. Not forcefully but casually, slipping them into conversations. Emphasize on how happy they would make you but that for the moment you unfortunately can't afford them and see what happens. It is definitely worth the try!
